Use this page to find locations in the library.
Enter a location reference number, or keywords, such as "London loft".
How to find a location:
Search by entering keywords above. The database keywords are all to do with location features,
such as "marble floor" or "island kitchen". You may also enter geographical keywords
such as "North London" (see below).
Just as powerful is to search our library by using the categories,
which classify locations by type such as domestic houses,
interiors, mansions & manors, etc.
Or you can see the same categories in an alphabetic list.
From any page you can go back up the ladder to find other locations of a similar type.
So you may see a location described as
locations > castles, stately homes, heritage > palaces / stately homes > reference 4906
Geographical areas:
When you search for a location using either the keywords or categories,
there will be a line at the top of the screen showing the regions in which we have matching locations, for example:
The left-most link is to a
map showing the available regions.
If you are interested in locations in, say, "London inside M25" click on that to narrow the search:
...now you can narrow the search even further by clicking on, for example "North London".
